In his address, the mayor of the capital Vitaliy Klitschko stated that the Humanitarian Headquarters of Kyiv works systematically, receives and distributes everything necessary. Klitschko thanked the volunteers who had joined the staff.
"Kyiv keeps fortifying and preparing for the defence of the city. The humanitarian headquarters created in the city works systematically with well-established logistics. We receive help from Ukrainian and foreign businesses, from caring people, including humanitarian aid. We distribute it, also creating reserves of everything we need. I also thank the volunteers who are helping today. They look for more help and deliver it. Your work is very crucial," Klitschko stressed.
The capital mayor reminded what city residents should do in case of an alarm signal and asked to trust only official information.
"At the same time, all enterprises of critical infrastructure and life support of the capital are working. Most grocery stores and pharmacies are open. Today the application "Kyiv Tsyfrovyy" (Kyiv Digital) has updated the map of pharmacies where you can buy insulin. Hospitals and maternity hospitals also operate and hospitalize all patients who need care. I ask all Kyivites to keep calm. Please, stay in safe places - at home or in shelters during the air-raid siren. Support loved ones, neighbours, people around. Trust only official information. Now the enemy will spread many lies, provoking panic. Please don't believe them! We will stand it together! Glory to Ukraine," Klitschko concluded.
