Night air strike in Chernihiv: city left without water supply

Russia shelled the library and the stadium.

Due to the Russian air strikes in Chernihiv that night the entire city was left without water supply. The water supply network was badly damaged as reported by the press service of Chernihivvodokanal Public Utility Company.

Local authorities ask people to report on damage to networks. Damage can be detected by a shell hole with water or traces of leakage.

All cases of detected damage should be reported to Public Utility Company through social networks.

The head of the Chernihiv Regional State Administration Vyacheslav Chaus said in the morning that Russia had stroke against the stadium and the library.

“They are shelling civilian targets – the Gagarin Stadium, there is a shell hole behind me – it [a missile] came from the plane. I know about breakage in water supply large-diameter pipes. All utility service workers are doing their job to restore network operations. Work is underway, water supply will be restored as soon as possible,” he said.

The Russian troops also attacked airfields in Lutsk and Ivano-Frankivsk that night.
