As of March 12, the special account of the National Bank of Ukraine, opened to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine, received UAH 11.4 billion in equivalent.
This was reported by the website of the NBU.
The National Bank noted that the funds came from citizens and businesses in Ukraine and from the international community - from the United States, UK, Poland, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, China, France, Canada, etc. In total, more than UAH 3.3 billion in foreign currency came from all around the world.
The National Bank has already transferred almost all the funds to the needs of the military, in particular, UAH 950 million were sent to the National Guard of Ukraine;UAH 1,650 million to the National Police of Ukraine; UAH 8,097.4 million to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine; UAH 720 million to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
As of March 12, a total of over UAH 242 million in equivalent was received on the account of the Ministry of Social Policy, which the National Bank of Ukraine opened for humanitarian purposes. UAH 117.6 million from that amount in equivalent came from abroad in foreign currency.
It should be noted that on February 24, the National Bank opened a special multi-currency account UA84300001000000047330992708 to raise funds for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Funds can be transferred by card at https://bank.gov.ua/ua/about/support-the-armed-forces or through a bank account transfer.

The National Bank of Ukraine clarifies that this is a multi-currency account created both for international partners (transfers in USD, EUR, GBP) and for Ukrainian businesses and citizens who wish to contribute in local currency UAH.
