Russia promises Poland "tough response" to expulsion of its diplomats

Russia has accused Poland of trying to destroy bilateral relations and has promised it a "tough response" to the expulsion of its 45 diplomats.

Russia regards the suspicion of employees of its diplomatic missions of espionage as a "conscious step towards the final severance of bilateral relations," Reuters reported, citing the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Russia will not leave unanswered this hostile attack, which will make Polish provocateurs think and harm them," Russia threatens a member of the NATO bloc.

Yesterday they decided to send 45 diplomats from Poland. The Russian ambassador will continue his work in Warsaw. Diplomatic relations between the countries are formally continuing. The espionage suspects were given 5 days to leave.

Poland actively supports Ukraine during the full-scale war unleashed by Russia. Russia, meanwhile, is threatening the country.
