The russian military abducts Ukrainian children and uses them as human shields when they move their columns of equipment.
According to the residents of Novy Bykiv village (Chernihiv region), soldiers took hostages and put local children in trucks. In this way, they ‘insured’ the columns with equipment, reported by the Chief Directorate of Intelligence, Ministry of Defense, on Facebook.
“In addition, the occupiers use children as hostages to guarantee that the local population will not give the coordinates of the enemy’s movement to Ukrainian defenders. Cases of children used as cover are recorded in Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Zaporizhzhia regions,” the Chief Directorate of Intelligence reported.
Information about each such case will be passed to international criminal courts.
As reported earlier, the enemy abducts and takes children out from non-government-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. As of March 21, 2,389 abducted young Ukrainians were illegally taken to Russia.
