Zhytomyr airborne soldiers in the Kharkiv region destroyed two Russian troops helicopters Мі-8.

It is reported by the Air Assault Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"With the beginning of the open Russian invasion, the units of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed a considerable amount of weapons, military equipment and live force, including helicopters of enemy army aviation. In particular, yesterday according to the confirmed data, the servicemen of the 95th separate air assault brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down two transport and combat helicopters Мі-8 of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation," - said in the message.

It is noted that the helicopters were destroyed by the calculation of the domestic portable missile system "Corsar".

"This is essentially the first time an airborne target has been successfully destroyed with an ATGM! After being hit by a missile, the unguided aircraft of the enemy collapsed on the sidelines while falling collided with its own helicopter, which was flying behind. On the video, enemy helicopters burn after a "successful" landing. We are proud of the skill, military success and professionalism of our airborne soldiers!," - said the staff.
