Izyum is still the hottest spot in Kharkiv Region as the fighting around it continues, the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleh Synehubov, said during the TV appearance.

According to Synehubov, the enemy is not withdrawing from Kharkiv. Russian invaders continue “illogical chaotic shellings” of the city, and the hottest spot in the region is still Izium.

“There is fighting around Izyum because the enemies have realized that they lost the battle for Kharkiv and are moving around Izyum to transfer to Luhansk and Donetsk regions,” Synehubov says.

“We evacuated 1500 more people from Izium district, from Barvinkove village. We did it to avoid the possible theater of combat. Our Armed Forces are holding their positions there. If we are talking about the last 24 hours, they shot down 4 planes there. And the enemy is suffering significant losses,” he added.

The day before, Russian occupiers fired artillery, mortar, and tank shells at Kharkiv - in the districts of Saltivka, Piatykhatky, Oleksiivka, KhTZ, Kholodna Hora, Kulinichi, Velyka Danylivka, Derhachi. Altogether there were 46 attacks on the city on March 31.
