Russian occupiers have disbanded a peaceful pro-Ukrainian local protest in Energodar, Zaporizhzhya Region. This was reported by the press center of Energoatom.
“A series of loud explosions took place in Energodar. This morning the city residents gathered for a peaceful rally to support Ukraine. They were singing the national anthem and talking to one another. Russian occupiers, also called “russicists”, were observing this. When residents of Energoddar were dispersing, police vans started to arrive, capturing locals”, the message says.
In a few brief moments the city was shattered with the sound of loud explosions and shelling. Energodar residents began to flee in different directions. On the streets, far from the explosion, car sirens went on. It is possible that the occupiers used light and noise grenades.
[The occupiers] also started to shut down the communication. Wired Internet is down, phone calls are also impossible to make.
"Currently, several citizens are known to have been hospitalized with injuries and severe burns due to explosions and mortar queues of civilians taking place around the Palace of Culture “Suchasnyk”, the message says.
