Russia is building up its forces in the Zaporizhzhya direction and transferring some of its troops from the Kursk direction there. However, Ukrainian positions there have not been lost, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a meeting with journalists yesterday.

The Ukrainian presence in the Kursk Region remains, and thanks to this, Russia cannot transfer more troops from there to Donetsk and other Regions. There are currently no threats to Sumy, Zelenskyy added.

According to him, the situation in Kharkiv also remains unchanged. There were sabotage groups in the northern part, where a counter-sabotage operation is being carried out.

“In the Pokrovsk direction, where there was a breach of our lines, we are destroying the occupiers who have penetrated deep into our territory. Ninety per cent of them have been destroyed, almost 100%. In all other directions, there are no significant changes,” the president said.

In the Luhansk Region, according to him, there are some good results.

  • Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyy recently warned that Russia is preparing for an offensive in the Zaporizhzhya direction. At the same time, the Donetsk Region is the highest priority for Russia.
