City council says Russians mined confectionery in Bucha, poisoned output

The occupiers have mined the territory of the confectionery factory in the city of Bucha, Kyiv region.

Bucha city council informed.

“Dear community of Bucha! We strongly ask you not to go to the territory of the “Delicia” confectionery factory, as ruscists have mined the territory and poisoned the cookies. Let’s remember about the danger!” - the message said.

On the morning of March 1, Taras Shapravskyi, secretary of Bucha City Council, urged people to wait before returning to the city: Bucha remains under russian occupation.

“As for today, the city of Bucha remains a dangerous destination. It is still under occupation”. - said the official.

According to Shapravskyi, the liberation of the city is underway. Ukrainian Armed Forces and Territorial Defence are working to recapture every meter of our precious land. There is information that “armored vehicles belonging to the ruscists have been withdrawn” together with a significant part of their forces. Yet, many saboteur groups and the russian military disguised as civilians remain and continue to resist.

He emphasized the danger of returning to the city.

“The situation will remain dangerous, we predict, for up to a month, even after Bucha is liberated, according to the information we receive, large areas are mined,” - mentioned Shapravskyi.

He explained that houses in Bucha, administrative buildings, abandoned military equipment, and even “the dead bodies are mined."

He asked those who remain in the city not to approach unfamiliar objects, not to walk through forested areas, not to come up to abandoned equipment, and not to touch the bodies of the dead, which are lying there for a long time. There is a significant probability that they are mined.
