Russia does not hide its intentions towards Ukrainians, moreover, it speaks directly about them.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in his address to the Romanian Parliament.
"On the same day, 3 April 2022, when the world was horrified to see the bodies of those killed in Bucha, an article justifying the genocide of Ukrainians was published on the website of the Russian state news agency RIA Novosti. And it's not just text. This is one of the proofs for the future tribunal against Russian war criminals, - the president said. - The article describes a detailed and calculated procedure for destroying everything that makes Ukrainians a nation and killing our people. Those people, russians will not be able to break and conquer.
It is said that "deukrainization" and "deuropeanization" of Ukraine should be conducted. It is said that even the name of our state should be erased. Basically, it is said that the death of as many Ukrainian as possible in the war is welcome. "
Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that this is a website of the Russian State News Agency. Within open censorship, only things that support the official ideological position on the war against Ukraine can be published there.
"So, I want you to understand me: they are not even hiding. Russians directly speak about the purpose of the invasion of Ukraine. If our army had not survived, if our people had not risen to the defense of the state, they would have done on the whole territory of Ukraine what they did in Bucha - he said. - We know about the deliberate murders of schools and preschools teachers in the temporarily occupied territories. We know about russians terrorizing all those considered activists and people connected with the army."
The Russian State News Agency RIA Novosti website published an article "What Russia should do with Ukraine" by political scientist Timofey Sergeytsev, which justifies the need for ethnic cleansing in Ukraine.
