The Chonhar bridge was mined, but the Ukrainian militaries were facing an enemy exceeding the Ukrainian forces 15 times.

This was stated by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This statement was a response to rumors that Chonhar was demined before the war, which is why the russian troops entered the Kherson region without obstacles.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine perform the tasks assigned to them, guided solely by national interests and act in accordance with the current situation," the General Staff noted. “As for the rumors about the alleged ‘non-mining’ of Chonhar, we report: the bridge was mined, but we were facing an enemy exceeding our forces 15 times. All conclusions regarding the legitimacy of decisions taken during war actions will be made in the manner defined by law when the war is over. Our position is simple. The heroes must receive awards. The occupiers and their henchmen must be behind bars. In the meantime, we continue to work for victory."

The russian occupiers have already lost almost 22,000 personnel, 884 tanks, 181 aircraft, and 154 helicopters in the war against Ukraine.
