Oleksii Arestovych, Adviser to the Office of the President, explained why Ukrainian fighters do not go into counteroffensive. He assured that the Armed Forces of Ukraine will move to offensive actions once it receives heavy weapons.
This Arestovych told on the air of Channel 24.
He noted that the attack "is a huge loss, and therefore difficult to do." We need to have an alignment of forces and backgrounds.
"We don't have heavy weapons. We need it. The West will provide us with it, and we are moving into a counter-offensive. There will be no delays," - Oleksii Arestovych assured.
The adviser to the Head of the Office of the President reminded: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this, that we have one way out - "physically throw them out of here (the russian occupiers. - Ed.)."
"That is why, as soon as weapons arrive, Ukrainian soldiers immediately turn into a counteroffensive. We are ready - the issue is only in weapons. I see that there are chances that this issue will be solved," - Arestovych added.
As reported, today in Germany, more than 40 countries are discussing support for Ukraine. Minister of Defense Oleksii Reznikov also took part in the meeting.
Earlier, German Defense Minister Christine Lambrecht during a meeting with the allies intended to offer the supply of anti-aircraft self-propelled installations "Gepard" to Ukraine.
