Immediately after the meeting in Kyiv between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, russia launched five missiles at the capital.

The head of state announced this in an address on the evening of 28 April.

"Today, immediately after the end of our meeting [with Guterres - Ed.] in Kyiv, russian missiles arrived into the city. Five missiles. And this says a lot about Russia's true attitude to global institutions. About the efforts of the russian leadership to humiliate the UN and everything that the organization represents. Therefore, it requires a strong response," Zelenskyy said.

The President stressed that Russian missile strikes on Ukraine - in Kyiv, Fastiv, Odesa, Khmelnytsky, and other cities - once again prove that "it is still not the good time to relax."

"One cannot think that the war is over. We still have to fight. We still have to expel the occupiers," he said.

At about 8:10 pm, two russian missiles hit a residential building in the Shevchenkivskyy district of Kyiv. UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres is currently in the Ukrainian capital.
