Russia's statements about waging an indirect war with NATO are heard because its government is desperate for the failure of its goals in Ukraine.

US President Joe Biden expressed this opinion in a speech on April 28.

"I don't think it's a reflection of the truth; it's a reflection of the failure. Ukrainians already have some capacity to resist Russian troops, but we can't say that the United States and NATO are involved in neutralising Russian tanks," he said.

Biden said there was no need just to discuss the possibility of using nuclear weapons.

Russia is constantly promoting the narrative that the United States and its allies are fighting against. It also accuses the West of supplying weapons to Ukraine to "destroy" it, although Ukrainians need military equipment to defend against Russian attacks and liberate their settlements from the occupiers.
