Norway has decided to join to EU sanctions and to close customs and ports for russian cargo tracks and vessels, writes Reuters with reference to Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
At the same time russian fishing vessels, frequently debarking their catch at the north ports of Norway are excluded from this sanction. Also, restriction will not apply to Norwegian arctic archipelago Svalbard.
Norway is not a EU member, therefore imposes the sanctions independently.
From the beginning of the full-scale russian war, Norway decided to provide Ukrainians with 4,000 anti-tank missiles, several types of defense equipment and other military equipment.
In April, the country handed over to UAF Mistral anti-aircraft missile systems, which allow it to shoot down planes and helicopters at low altitudes.
