Two British aid workers have been captured by the russian military. This was reported by the Guardian, citing a statement by the Presidium Network.
According to her representatives, the men were detained near Zaporizhia on Monday as they tried to evacuate a Ukrainian family from a village in the Zaporizhia region.
It is believed that the men worked independently, but were connected to the Presidium Network. The organization's founder, Dominique Byrne, told the BBC that the volunteers had passed through a Ukrainian checkpoint and were heading south through the occupied territories. At that time, the connection with them disappeared.
According to Byrne, civilians awaiting evacuation were interrogated by russian soldiers a few hours later. The invaders asked them how they knew these "British spies".
There is no information about the prisoners’ condition and whereabouts.
