Emergencies Service asks Ukrainians not to visit cemeteries on mourning days

The rescue service called to be aware of the danger of mining, especially in areas where active hostilities are or have been conducted.

The State Emergency Service urges Ukrainians to refrain from visiting burial sites on funeral days.

This was reported by the press service of the SES.

"Traditionally, after Easter, Christians honor the memory of deceased relatives and friends by visiting cemeteries. However, this year the State Emergency Service of Ukraine urges Ukrainians to refrain from visiting burial sites on Radunitsa! Remembering your loved ones who are no longer with us, is the sacred duty of everyone! But today, when russia is doing its best to increase the number of civilian casualties, it is important to ensure the safety of the living. Stay at home, light a candle, pray for the souls of the dead and your prayers will be heard," the statement said.

The rescue service called to be aware of the danger of mining, especially in areas where active hostilities are taking place or have been conducted (unexploded ordnance, tripwires, etc. may remain); do not create crowds in cemeteries or churches; do not arrange a feast in the cemetery, do not drink alcohol.

"Be careful and do not lose vigilance. Follow the news, statements, and recommendations of military administrations in your locality to have information about the security situation in your city, town or village," the SES said.

Rescuers urge to follow fire safety rules using open flames.

It is also necessary to monitor children, talk to them about the dangers of today and teach them the rules of life.

We are reminding, that earlier in SES also reminded of the danger to go to the woods, water basins, and fields where military operations were carried out.
