As of April 29, 1,187 civilians in the Kyiv region had died at the hands of russian invaders.
This was announced by Kyiv Police Chief Andriy Niebytov during the national telethon.
"This work continues every day (in search of the dead - Ed.). And for example, Borodyanka yesterday crossed the border of 100 people - 110 bodies were found in Borodyanka... The leader is Bucha district, where more than 1,080 bodies were found. Slightly less – these are Brovary and Vyshgorod districts", Niebitov said.
According to him, the residents of the region who are returning home from safer places report about the bodies.
Rescuers from the Kyiv region found 26 more dead yesterday, the regional police chief added.
Another 200 people remain missing.
Today it became known also that in the Chernihiv region rescuers got out from under a blockage bodies of two victims.
As it is reported by The Guardian, dozens of civilians in the Kiev region were killed by thin metal darts from shells called "flash drives". Darts are found by pathologists in the heads and chests of the dead.
