Olexander Lukashenko, who considers himself the president of Belarus, said at a meeting with residents of the Gomel region that the Baltic states do not allow their citizens to enter Belarus so that they do not see how well Belarusians live.

According to Lukashenko, neighboring countries lack salt, and democracy is to blame. Therefore, according to him, the dictatorship is the best.

"But they do not let their people out in Belarus. Why? Because people come to us to buy salt. They have no salt! The great, rich West, and there is no salt," Lukashenko said.

He also said that the dictatorship allegedly promotes order.

"Well, thank God we have a dictatorship. You all criticized me: dictatorship, dictatorship. But there is order under this dictatorship," Lukashenko summed up.

Earlier, Lukashenko said that his only friend, russian president vladimir putin, wants Ukraine to become like Belarus, but "with certain nuances."
