The number of wounded increased from 170 to over 600 after yesterday's dropping of air bombs by russians on the field hospital of the Mariupol plant Azovstal.

The mayor of Mariupol Vadym Boychenko reported about it at a briefing.

"The city is being destroyed, despite the civilian population, children ... More than 20,000 locals were killed in Mariupol. This is a sign not only of a war crime but also of the genocide of the russian-speaking population of Mariupol", he said.

Boychenko thanked the defenders who are at the plant. In fact, Azovstal is an outpost of the city's defense.

"They still hold the Ukrainian city of Mariupol. Our heroic guys are counter-attacking, the enemy is suffering losses and destruction", he added.

Boychenko said the enemy had stopped in Mariupol, which allowed other cities to prepare for this devastating war. The number of the enemy is several times greater than the defensive forces.

Earlier, during past night russians have been dropped multi-ton bombs on a military field hospital located on the territory of the Azovstal plant in Mariupol, where the wounded defenders are.

The bombs, used by russians, can penetrate any concrete protective structures. After the destruction, the enemy continued to shell the ruins with naval artillery.

After the bombs, among the wounded soldiers who were in the hospital, the newly wounded and dead appeared there.

Read in detail about the situation in the city in an interview with the commander of the 36th separate brigade of marines, which also defends Mariupol, Serhiy Volyna.
