According to the report, as of 18:00 on 24 April 2022, in the Slobozhansk area, russia continues to transfer its weapons, military vehicles, and equipment to the area of Kupiansk. The partial blockade of Kharkiv continues.
"There is an intensification of offensive and assault operations of enemy units in Pashkove, Dovhenke, and Velyka Komyshuvakha. The russians failed, suffered losses, and were forced to retreat to their former positions," - reported the General Staff of the UAF.
In the Sievierodonetsk area, the russian invaders tried to conduct assault operations in the area of the municipalities of Lyman and Yatskivka, but did not have success. At the same time, they established control over a part of Zarichne. The russians also tried to gain a foothold in the western, northwestern, and eastern parts of Rubizhne, but failed. They began advancing in the area of the municipalities of Orikhove and Nyzhnie.
With the support of artillery, the russian enemy attempted an offensive in the Kurakhiv area, particularly within the area of Novomykhailivka and Mar'inka. The attempt was unsuccessful. Shelling and combats continued in the Mariupol area, close to "Azovstal." The enemy conducted airstrikes on specific objects of civilian infrastructure. Finally, the russian occupiers conducted assault operations in the area of the village of Vremivka, suffered losses, and retreated to their former positions, " - the General Staff said.
The enemy's offensive operations in the Eastern Operational Zone continue to establish complete control over the Donetsk and Luhansk regions' territory and ensure a ground route to the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The rf did not take active actions in the Volyn and Polissya areas. According to the Ukrainian command, up to seven battalions of the Belarusian Armed Forces cover the Ukrainian-Belarusian border in Brest and Homel regions. The russians continue moving the military vehicles and equipment of the Eastern Military District units from Belarus to Russia through Homel area in the direction of Briansk. The vehicles and equipment are mostly damaged.
In the Siversk area, the border guards of the Russian FSB (Federal Security Service of russian federation) provide enhanced protection of the Ukrainian-Russian border in the Briansk and Kursk regions.
"The enemy plans to move the anti-aircraft division of the 14th Army of the Air Forces and Air Defense from the Kursk region to the Belgorod region." - reported the General Staff of the UAF.
In the Donetsk and Tavriya area, the russians are increasing the management and air defense systems and attacking UAF positions using mortars, artillery, and multiple launch rocket systems along the entire confrontation line. The invaders also are conducting airstrikes using joined task force aircraft.
In the Popasna area, the units of russian occupying forces tried to gain a foothold on the achieved frontiers. They also regrouped and replenished personnel and ammunition and prepared for further assaults.
"In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, the russian occupiers are introducing measures restricting the rights and freedoms of civilians, including freedom of movement," - informed the General Staff.
According to the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, Iryna Vereshchuk, russia, refused to provide a ceasefire to evacuate people from Mariupol.
The occupiers are assaulting the occupied villages of the Kherson region with tanks under Ukrainian flags.
