Catherine Colonna, the new head of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, arrived in Ukraine on a visit.
The Minister posted a photo in front of the Ukrzaliznytsia train on Twitter.

"I have just arrived in Ukraine to show France's support for the Ukrainian people," she said.
Catherine Colonna headed the Foreign Ministry on May 20 this year. The visit to Ukraine is her first trip abroad to a new position outside the EU.
On May 26, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba had his first telephone conversation with his new French counterpart. The Minister expressed continued support. The parties agreed on the need to increase sanctions on russia, including the oil embargo. They also discussed granting Ukraine the status of a candidate for EU membership.
During this conversation Kuleba invited his colleague to Ukraine.
