The most difficult situation is now in the Luhansk region. There, the enemy is trying to oust our units from their positions, announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny in a telephone conversation with the Chief of the Joint Staff of the French Armed Forces Thierry Burkhard.

"I explained that the operations are complex and require a combination of both defensive and offensive actions. However, the enemy has a decisive advantage in artillery, which raises the issue of the fastest transition of our units to NATO-model weapons. It will save the lives of our people and our territories." he stressed.

Zaluzhny said that he thanked his colleague and, through him, to all French people for their help and support and expressed condolences for the French journalist Frédéric Leclerc’s death in Ukraine due to the russian shelling.

France will hand over an additional batch of Caesar self-propelled howitzers to Ukraine. The republic has mobilized 100 million euros in humanitarian aid. Crop seeds, fire engines and ambulances will also be handed over.
