The Air Assault Forces together with Land Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ artillery destroyed two tanks, an MT-LB, and more than a dozen of russian occupiers in one of the directions – in the Donetsk region, the UAF's Air Assault Forces Command reported.
"In the Donetsk region, the clear and coordinated actions of the intelligence and artillery disrupted the plans of the enemy who was trying to strike at a flank of the Ukrainian units. In particular, after timely discovering the advance of the enemy tanks, the intelligence handed the coordinates over to the artillery units who quickly "covered" the enemy armored units," – the report says.
It's mentioned that the fight didn't go on for long but was productive. The rest of the tank units retreated in panic, giving up on the further actions.
The same day, artillery units destroyed a house where the invaders had set up their firing positions. According to the intelligence, more than 10 occupiers were eliminated.
As of 9 June, russia has already lost 31 700 troops and 1 398 tanks in Ukraine.
