Several emergency evacuation plans have been developed in Zaporizhzhya Region, the regional military administration has said.

The action plan was discussed during a meeting on preparation for evacuation of the population in case of emergencies at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant.

The administration noted that the regional authorities continue to work out the details related to the notification and assembly points in case of evacuation. And in case of an emergency situation due to the actions of the Russian occupiers, there is a well-established system of urgent notification of the population about the procedure and the specific type of danger by available methods and on all available information resources.

"We need to be clear about our capabilities. Since in case of a real danger from the actions of the Russian invaders there will be no more time to speculate, a pre-approved plan of action will have to be clearly adhered to. Everyone and everything must work as a single mechanism. All possible warning systems will be applied in emergencies, timely and systematic information is key. We must take care of the population both in the controlled and occupied territories," regional administration head Oleksandr Starukh said.

The region has developed several evacuation plans for the temporarily occupied and controlled territories. The administration added that this makes it possible to calculate all possibilities and obstacles for the evacuation of civilians.

The Russian occupiers have now succeeded in completely disconnecting the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant from the power grid. Now the NPP's own power needs are ensured from the Ukrainian energy system through the ZNPP-Zaporizhzhya TPP connection line.
