The Russians are trying to establish control over the town of Kodema in Donetsk Region, pressing from several directions at once. Fighting continues, the Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff has said.
The Russian occupiers fired tanks, barrel and rocket artillery in the territories near Kodema, as well as Bakhmut, Soledar, Bilohorivka, Zaytseve in the Bakhmut direction. The Russians also launched a rocket attack on Kostyantynivka.
In the same direction, the invaders tried to advance in the directions of Zaytseve, Vesela Dolyna and Bakhmut, but had no success and withdrew.
The Ukrainian command added that Russia was reinforcing its group of troops in the Donetsk direction. It also continues to move part of the 3rd Army Corps to the temporarily occupied territories of Zaporizhzhya and Kharkiv regions.
At the same time, the Russian army continues to focus its efforts on establishing full control over the territory of Donbas, as well as maintaining temporarily occupied areas in Kherson Region, parts of Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya and Mykolayiv regions.
