Law enforcement officers exhumed the bodies of three children killed by the Russian army on the liberated territory of Mykolayiv Region, the regional police communication department reported.
The bodies of three residents of the Novopetrivka village of the Shyrokiv united territorial community in Bashtanskyy District aged 12, 14 and 16 years were exhumed.
During the investigation, it was found that in June, when Russians were shelling the village, underage girls were in the yard of a household where one of the shells hit.
They were buried at the local cemetery.
According to forensic experts, the children died from mine-blast injuries.
Law enforcement officers are investigating criminal proceedings over the facts of Russian aggression against civilians under Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Violation of the laws and customs of war, combined with intentional murder".
