The decision on macro-financial assistance for Ukraine in the amount of 18bn euros has been unblocked, a deputy head of the presidential office, Ihor Zhovkva, has said.
"According to our information, it has been finally unblocked and will be positive for Ukraine," Zhovkva said in a Facebook post.
He added that the discussion on sanctions against Russia is still ongoing.
"And we are also waiting for the EU to support the Peace Formula of the President of Ukraine. EU President Charles Michel has already expressed his support," Zhovkva said.
Earlier, Hungary told the finance ministers of the European Union at a meeting in Brussels that it would not support the necessary changes to prepare a package of assistance to Ukraine in the amount of 18bn euros next year.
