According to the preliminary information, 16 missiles were shot down over Kyiv during a massive missile attack on 29 December, the mayor of the city Vitaliy Klitschko said.
"According to preliminary information by air defence forces, 15 missiles were destroyed over Kyiv," he wrote, later adding that one more was shot down.
City authorities reported destruction in three districts of Kyiv as a result of a missile attack. An industrial enterprise was damaged in the Holosiyivskyy district, and a children's playground - in the Pecherskyy district. Two detached houses were damaged by the debris in the Darnytskyy district.
