Ukraine and the European Union have signed a memorandum on the allocation of €18 billion in macro-financial assistance in 2023, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said on Twitter.
He noted that Ukraine expects to receive the first tranche of EUR 3 billion this week.
“Ukraine and the EU have just signed a Memorandum of Understanding to provide €18bn in macro-financial assistance. We expect to receive a tranche of €3bn this week,” he wrote.

In November, the European Commission announced a plan to provide Ukraine with regular macro-financial assistance in the amount of up to EUR 1.5 billion per month. The total amount of aid in 2023 is EUR 18 billion.
