The fiercest fighting continues for Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said in its evening update on 27 March.
The Russians are focusing their main efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka sectors. Ukrainian defenders repelled 41 Russian attacks in these areas.
In addition, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defence Forces carried out nine strikes on the clusters of Russian personnel and military equipment, as well as one on an anti-aircraft missile system. A Russian Orlan-10 UAV was shot down.
Missile and artillery units hit two command posts and a personnel cluster.
Meanwhile, the Russians conducted seen air strikes and 10 missile strikes over the last day, firing more than 15 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure. Russia continues to widely use S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles in its attacks.
