Yesterday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with Goodwill Ambassador Orlando Bloom and the UNICEF team, the President's website reports.
"I met with UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador Orlando Bloom and the UNICEF team, an organisation that provides humanitarian support and child protection. ...We discussed the reconstruction of our country and our school infrastructure. I am grateful for this assistance. We agreed that our teams should work on several areas," the President said.
These include the return of Ukrainian children deported to the aggressor country, the establishment of bomb shelters in educational institutions, and technical support for distance learning in areas where it is impossible to study offline due to relevant threats.
According to Zelenskyy, Orlando Bloom has been working for a long time in the field of child protection. The actor visited Donbas even before the full-scale invasion and saw what Russian aggression brought to Ukraine.
