Vitaliy Barabash, head of Avdiyivka's city military administration, has ordered the evacuation of public utilities and strongly recommends that residents leave the city, which is under constant shelling by Russian troops.

Barabash said on Telegram: "Avdiyivka is becoming more and more like a place from post-apocalyptic films or like Maryinka, which was completely destroyed by the ruscists."

Therefore, he said, a decision was made to evacuate the few utility workers who were trying to keep the city running.

"So now I am not asking you to leave Avdiyivka, I strongly recommend that you leave because Russian missiles and shells do not spare anything or anyone, no matter what views you hold," Barabash added.

The intense Russian shelling of Avdiyivka with artillery and Grad systems, including cluster munitions, continued at night and on the morning of 26 March. The shells hit four streets.

On the morning of 25 March, Russian troops fired two missiles at Avdiyivka.
