Over the past day, the enemy launched 2 missile and 23 air strikes, fired 38 multiple-launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure of settlements, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Facebook on the morning of the 397th day of the large-scale Russian invasion.
The threat of missile and air strikes remains high across Ukraine as Russia continues to use terror tactics.
The enemy concentrates its main efforts on offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, Maryinka, and Shakhtarsk areas. Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 60 enemy attacks.
Volyn, Polissya, Siversk, and Slobozhansk areas: the operational situation has not changed significantly; there are no signs of the formations of enemy offensive groupings.
Russian military continues combat training at the training grounds of the Republic of Belarus. Russia maintains a military presence in the border areas of its Kursk and Belgorod Regions. During the past 24 hours, the enemy shelled the vicinities of Novovasylivka, Ukrainsk, Seredyna-Buda, Bachivsk, Esman, Atynske, Bilopylla, Volfine, Myropilske, and Pokrovka (Sumy Region). The vicinities of more than 15 settlements of Kharkiv Region were affected by fire, including, Lobanivka, Mali Prokhody, Liptsi, Strilecha, Starytsia, Ohirtseve, Milove, Petro-Ivanivka, and Ridkodub.
Kupyansk and Lyman areas: during the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Synkivka, Bilohorivka, and Vesele. Russian troops shelled the vicinities of Kupyansk and Tabayivka settlements (Kharkiv Region); Stelmakhivka, Makiyivka, Nevske, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka (Luhansk Region); as well as Kolodyaz, Siversk, Spirne and Vyyimka (Donetsk Region).
Bakhmut area: the enemy makes further attempts to seize the city of Bakhmut, which is held by our defenders, as well as in the Bohdanivka and Ivanovka districts of the Donetsk Region. Russian occupiers shelled more than 20x settlements, including Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Chasiv Yar, Stupochki, Oleksandro-Shultine, Ozaryanivka, Severny and Toretsk.
Avdiyivka and Maryinka areas: the enemy attempted unsuccessful offensives towards Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Severne, Pervomayske, Nevelske, Krasnohorivka, and Maryinka. More than 15 settlements, in particular, Paraskoviyivka, Novokalynove, Krasnohorivka, Kamyanka, Avdiyivka, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Maryinka (Donetsk Region) were subject to numerous enemy attacks.
Shakhtarsk area: the enemy shelled the vicinities of Pobeda, Novomykhaliyvka, Vuhledar, Prechistivka and Velika Novosilka settlements in Donetsk Region.
Zaporizhzhya and Kherson areas: the enemy stays on the defensive. The occupiers attacked more than 30 settlements including Olhivske, Chervone, Charivne, and Orihiv (Zaporizhzhya Region); Respublikanets, Odradokamyaka, Tomarine, Novosilka, Olhivka, and Sadove (Kherson Region) and the city of Kherson.
Russian occupation forces continue to suffer heavy losses. About 100 corpses of the Russian military were brought to the morgue of Troyitske central hospital (Luhansk Region) over the past day. In addition, about 140 severely wounded occupiers were delivered to the hospital for treatment.
