Russian President Putin's statement about plans to deploy tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus creates even more conditions for the internal destabilisation of this country, the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, has tweeted.
"The deployment of tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus is a step towards internal destabilisation of the country," he said.
According to Danilov, such tactics will maximize the level of negative perception and public rejection of Russia and its President Putin in Belarusian society.
"The Kremlin has taken Belarus a nuclear hostage," he concluded.
