The next meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group will take place at Ramstein Air Force Base on 21 April, the US Air Force in Europe has said, Radio Liberty reports.
"US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin plans to chair a personal meeting of the Ukraine Defence Contact Group at Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, on 21 April 2023," it said.
The Air Force adds that Austin is gathering defence ministers and senior military officials from around the world to discuss "the ongoing crisis in Ukraine and the various security challenges facing US allies and partners".
The previous meeting took place on 15 March 2023 via video link. At the time, Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov said that the 10th Ramstein meeting was encouraging.
Following the meeting, Lloyd Austin spoke about the new commitments of the countries participating in the meeting, as well as the fact that the countries reaffirmed their unity in supporting Ukraine's fight for freedom.
