The secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, has said that Ukraine has several options for a counteroffensive. The decision on the counteroffensive option will be made at the last moment, Ukrinform has reported, quoting Tagesschau.
"If someone thinks that we have only one option, it is not so. Even three options are not enough," Danilov said.
According to him, Ukraine is in constant contact with its key allies, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Poland, but "data on the conduct of certain operations, the number of units involved and in which direction - this information is top secret".
He questioned CNN's report that Ukraine had allegedly already changed some of its military plans due to the leaked Pentagon documents.
"I can say that the number of people who know about our plans on our territory is extremely limited. And I don't think the source who spoke to CNN had anything to do with it," Danilov said.
He added that he was "not impressed" by the publication of numerous classified documents.
"You can find this in open sources. As for the rest of the information, if it was indeed classified, the agencies of the United States and the United Kingdom will know exactly where it comes from. And why it appeared right now," he said.
In any case, Danilov believes that the intelligence services should be "more vigilant".
