Ukraine's air defence destroyed 36 aerial targets today, the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force has said.
"At around 5 p.m., the enemy launched an attack from the Caspian Sea with Kh-101/Kh-555 air-launched cruise missiles. The launch of 36 missiles from eight Tu-95MS strategic bombers was recorded," the press service said.
Ukrainian air defences destroyed 33 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles fired at Ukraine.
The Russian missiles entered Ukrainian airspace from the southeast and headed west, constantly changing direction.
In addition, at around 7 p.m., Russian MiG-31K fighters launched four Kh-47 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles in the direction of Khmelnytskyy Region.
Information on the consequences of the Kh-47 Kinzhal launches is being checked.
Also, according to updated information, Ukrainian troops shot down three Kalibr cruise missiles before lunchtime.
Onthe evening of 26 July, Russian cruise missiles were shot down in at least three regions of Ukraine - Kyiv, Kharkiv and Dnipro. The target of the Russian attack was Starokostyantyniv in Khmelnytskyy Region.
