President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited Zaporizhzhya Region, his press service has reported.
"I am proud of all our defenders! All those who destroy the invaders, save the lives of Ukrainians and bring our main goal closer - victory in this war for freedom and independence for the whole of Ukraine. It was an honour for me to meet the soldiers during my trip to Zaporizhzhya Region and receive the Chevrons of Heroes," the president said.
The president commended the 46th Separate Airmobile Brigade, which had been effectively destroying Russian troops in the Kherson and Bakhmut sector and is now fighting effectively in the Orikhiv sector.
The soldiers of the 117th Separate Mechanised Brigade are also fighting hard in the Orikhiv sector.
In addition, the Skala Assault Battalion took part in the liberation of Izyum. After the de-occupation of Kharkiv Region, the battalion's soldiers continued to destroy Russians in the Bakhmut sector.
The president paid special tribute to the medics of the Zaporizhzhya Military Hospital who save Ukrainian soldiers' lives every day.
