Defence forces succeed on the southern front, reports Deputy Defence Minister Hanna Malyar at the Military Media Center.
According to her, Ukrainian troops continue offensive actions in the Melitopol area.
She added that over the past few days, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have gained success in the area of Novodanylivka - Novoprokopivka. The Armed Forces are gaining foothold on their positions.
The Deputy Minister noted that Ukrainian troops liberated three sq.km in the Bakhmut sector last week. Fighting continues on the southern and northern flanks of Bakhmut.
"Last week it was very intense in the areas of Klishchiyivka, Kurdyumivka and Ozaryanivka," said Hanna Malyar.
Russians launched one missile attack and 78 air strikes over the last day, and carried out 47 MLRS attacks on Ukrainian troops' positions and various localities.
