Yesterday, Kyiv's plan to license and inspect four types of Ukrainian agricultural products was discussed. This was stated at a briefing by the European Commission spokesman Olof Gill, according to Yevropeyska Pravda.
The spokesperson noted that during the meeting, Kyiv's plan for the export and transit of agricultural products, as well as licensing, was discussed.
"Yesterday's meeting was focused on discussing the Ukrainian action plan and measures to control certain products and prevent market destruction in five EU member states," he said.
During the meeting, proposals for the action plan were presented, and it is hoped that it will be implemented as soon as possible.
The European Commission spokesman emphasised that Poland and Hungary did not participate in the meeting of the coordination platform. However, their participation in the meeting was not mandatory, so such actions cannot be called a boycott.
"Representatives of Poland and Hungary did not attend the meeting. However, it is important to emphasise that participation is not obligatory, as the meetings are held quite often," said Hill.
Currently, the European Commission continues to cooperate with all stakeholders outside and within the platform.
