Colonel General, Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyy said that Ukrainian soldiers are advancing in the East and taking Russians prisoner. The commander posted a video with Russian prisoner Yuriy Dzhumanov.

The prisoner said that he signed a contract with the Russian army on 28 June. According to Dzhumanov, he had been fired from his job earlier, which led him to drink. He also had family problems. His wife persuaded him to go to the recruitment office to pay off his debts.

The prisoner says he was promised a job at the headquarters to "draw maps" because he has a university degree. However, he ended up at the front. Dzhumanov also said that he has never been paid a salary.

According to the prisoner, he was wounded at the front. The Russians withdrew from their positions, but the fragment was never removed. The prisoner says he “fell off the wagon” at the rear base. And when he got back to his position, he was captured.
