Based on the case files submitted by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), the High Anti-Corruption Court upheld the claim of the Ministry of Justice to transfer the products of the Russian company Rostvertol to Ukraine, the SBU has said on Telegram.
The case concerns a batch of components for combat helicopter control systems, which one of the Lviv factories manufactured for the Rostov company under a contract from 2011. The total value of the seized products is almost $5.5 million.
Rostvertol is one of the key enterprises of the Russian defence industry, making helicopters for its task forces in Ukraine. The Russian company had hoped to receive its order from the Ukrainian plant back in 2014, before the invasion. However, SBU counterintelligence officers blocked the transfer of helicopter components to Russia.
After the confiscation of the seized products, the SBU will initiate the transfer of technological components to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The SBU counterintelligence carried out comprehensive measures in Lviv Region to nationalise Russian property.
