The Security Service of Ukraine conducted an operation in the Kursk Region of Russia, sources in SBU told LB.ua.
"The SBU has 'updated' the blackout schedules in Kursk Region: an attack by SBU drones left important enemy military facilities without electricity," the report said.
According to the sources, today's blackout took place as part of the "preparation" of the occupying forces for the autumn-winter period. The Russian military facilities were connected to a power substation in the settlements of Sudzha, Lyubimovka and Glushkovo in the Kursk Region. It was this substation that was attacked by drones.
"As a result, the Russian military is beginning to actively adopt last year's experience of Ukrainians, when there was no electricity for several days," the statement said.
The special service noted that this is not the first blackout in the Kursk Region made by SBU. The previous one was on 29 September, and before that - on 26 September. Back then, power substations that powered important Russian military facilities were also hit. In total, the SBU has organised seven such attacks on enemy infrastructure.
