15,000 Ukrainian military, 11,000 civilians are considered missing - Tymchenko

Thus, a total of 26,000 people are considered missing in Ukraine under special circumstances.

Deputy head of interior ministry Leonid Tymchenko said during a national telethon that as of September this year, 15,000 Ukrainian military and 11,000 civilians are still missing. 

According to him, data on each missing person is entered into a special register. This register is coordinated by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry.

Tymchenko also said that almost nine thousand families have received extracts from this register.
