Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak at the Third Summit of the European Political Community in Granada, Spain, according to the presidential website.
The parties agreed that the two countries would expand defence cooperation. Zelenskyy and Sunak discussed the work of parallel grain export routes and stressed the importance of consolidating international efforts to protect the freedom of navigation in the Black Sea.
They also discussed possible formats of insurance for ships sailing to Ukrainian ports.
As reported earlier, UK intelligence suggests that Russia may mine the grain corridor with sea mines to target civilian vessels in the Black Sea. It intends to hold Ukraine responsible for any attacks.
