As part of a special operation conducted by the Ukrainian Defence Ministry's Main Intelligence Directorate in occupied Crimea, operatives of the Artan unit landed on the western coast of the peninsula, as well as on the Tendra and Kinburn Spits.

They engaged in a fierce battle with the Russians, inflicting significant losses on them.

On their way back from a combat mission in Crimea, the Artan commandos also engaged in a battle at sea as the Russians tried to pursue them in surface patrol speed boats with aviation support.

"This is not the first and not the last operation of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine on the Crimean peninsula. Most of them will become known only later. This is a systematic, planned and coordinated work of all units involved. The enemy will feel the consequences of our work for a long time. By our actions, we constantly remind the Russian invaders of the inevitability of liberation of all the occupied territories," said Artan commander Viktor Torkotyuk.

In addition, the intelligence directorate shared a video with footage of the special operation.

Commandos of the Stuhna and Bratstvo groups of the Ukrainian intelligence's Timur special unit landed in Crimea and engaged the Russian occupiers.
