Germany to provide another €1.3bn military aid package to Ukraine

Today, German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius arrived in Kyiv on an unofficial visit. During a joint briefing with Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov, Pistorius announced a new aid package worth €1.3 billion. The new aid package will include four IRIS-T systems, 20,000 155mm shells and other weapons, RBC Ukraine reports.

It is known that the new military aid package will include 4 IRIS-T systems, 20,000 155-mm shells, anti-tank mines and other weapons.

"This is the fifth such package since last winter. I am sure that it will help you in your fight against Russian aggression," Pistorius said.

As for the delivery of Taurus missiles, the German Defence Minister said he had no information. According to Pistorius, Germany also plans to supply Ukraine with 140,000 155-mm shells.
