In Slovakia, carriers have started blocking truck traffic through the Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine with reference to information from the Border Police of the Slovak Republic.

Today, at 13:30, the blocking of truck traffic moving in the direction of the Slovak checkpoint Vyšné Nemecké, adjacent to the Ukrainian checkpoint Uzhhorod, began.

It was initiated and is being carried out by the Slovak Union of Carriers. The duration of the blockade has not been announced.

Currently, there are about 300 trucks in Slovakia in front of the Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint heading to Ukraine.

At the same time, cars and buses are allowed to pass through as usual.

Last week, Slovak carriers already blocked this particular checkpoint on the border with Ukraine, but only for one hour. In this way, the Slovaks expressed support for Polish carriers who are also protesting.
